Group leader in Corporate Research Materials Laboratory. Provided technical and career guidance to 6-8 PhD researchers. Led efforts to develop new pressure sensitive adhesive technologies for use throughout the corporation with an emphasis on green manufacturing techniques. Taught internal courses on adhesives and rheological characterization serving about 60 students per year. Earned Carlton Award (highest internal technical recognition) in 2012.

1983 – 2011

Progressed from PhD entry level through technical ranks. Developed new masking tape manufacturing process using solvent-free processing. Worked with development team to develop and implement this process, replacing existing solvent-based processes. Developed new easy-application micro-structured adhesive system for large-format commercial graphic films. Developed reputation for adhesive expertise. Consulted broadly across the company and taught numerous internal courses. Published four papers in peer-reviewed journals. Named inventor on over 30 patents.
